In 2017 The HOPE Motorcycle Rally was imagined by Dave Tozer, a stage 4 survivor of prostate cancer and an avid motorcycle rider, as a weekend event to bring awareness and generate funds for the Prostate and Ovarian Cancer Foundation.
"This is personal to me and I’m still here to help others survive! What better way but to have a Motorcycle Run to a destination that everyone would enjoy, Lake Tahoe is beautiful in the Fall. After an event I received a call from an Indian rider thanking me on behalf of he and his family. He went home after the run and was inspired to get checked out and was found to have prostate cancer in the beginning stages! Since then I have emails and phone calls telling me of how grateful they were for this event. This event saves lives!"
Sadly, we lost Dave to Prostate Cancer in January 2024. Dave's mission will live on through the HOPE Motorcycle Rally and the many men and women that he touched through this cause.
